Active Runways
Runway 15 may not be used for arrivals. Runways 6 and 33 may not be used for departures.
Runway 15 departure procedure:
- Climb runway heading to intercept the ROA VORTAC R-122 to 4000 before proceeding on course.
All other runways must use the published departure procedures
Once an aircraft is observed airborne, (not when they call airborne) should be told to contact departure. The frequency is not needed since it was given in the clearance. Remember that the departure controller will be logged on as ROA_x_APP (where x represents the sector) and may still be referred to as "departure."
